With this app, you can uncover the secrets of ancient Egypt, delve into hidden layers beneath Renaissance masterpieces, and gain insights into the origins of these invaluable cultural artifacts and the people who created them.
Immerse yourself in a rich collection of over 30 historical artifacts, including an ancient Egyptian mummy from the Torquay Museum, Rodin's masterpiece 'The Kiss' from the National Museum of Wales, iconic sculptures by Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth, and masterpieces by Tintoretto, Bellini, and Turner.
Curated by the BBC in collaboration with Nexus Studios (https://nexusstudios.com) and contributions from heritage organizations across the UK, this free AR app is part of a significant collaboration between the BBC, Nexus Studios, and more than 30 museums. It is launched alongside the groundbreaking arts and culture series 'Civilisations.'
